BUSINESS GROWTH CONSULTING
As your Business Growth Consultant, we address the critical challenges and questions facing stakeholders and senior executives. After completing our detailed business questionnaire we will develop a strategic plan for business growth that will exceed business goals and provide increased shareholder value.
We help to make the organizational structure changes required to achieve increased revenue goals and budget realities.
Three of the key business growth questions are:
1) Where is your business currently?
This involves understanding as much about your business as possible, including how it operates internally, what drives its profitability, and how it compares with competitors. We look at this realistically, detached and critical where necessary.
2) Where do you want to take it?
Here we set out your top-level objectives. We also work out the following key components:
• vision
• mission
• objectives
• values
• techniques
• goals
We typically take a deep dive into your business to see where you will be in three to five years, what do you want to be the focus of your business and your source of competitive advantage over your competitors in the marketplace?
3) What do we need to do to get you there?
What changes will you need to make in order to deliver on your strategic objectives? What is the best way of implementing those changes? What changes to the structure and financing of your business will be required and what goals and deadlines will you need to set for yourself and others in the business?
Effective business growth planning involves challenging how business has been done up to this point. It may be that leadership or decision-making in some areas will be handed to others, or that processes, which have worked well in the past will no longer fit with future plans. It can be tempting for stakeholders or executives to overlook alternatives that are uncomfortable for them personally or sometimes they are so deep working in the business they just don’t see it, but not jumping on the business opportunities can seriously compromise the growth of your business.
When evaluating the potential of your business it is critical to developing robust Business Plans and Value Propositions. Your organization’s value proposition is how it differentiates itself from the competition. A value proposition will clearly articulate the answer to a customer’s question “Why should I do business with you?” We will develop successful value propositions which are compelling to your customers, competitively sustainable, and supported by a series of proof points. Strong Value propositions drive profitable organic growth and reduce cost and complexity.
