Just the other day, I was sitting down with a client who stated to me that they wanted a 100% increase in business next year! Some of you might think that is lofty but in the end, anything is possible that’s why we want to spend a little time with you on how you can increase your sales performance! In this blog, we plan on sharing eight different tips on how to do it.
Honestly, sales professionals increase sales by following these simple rules:
- They do what they love – this means they are willing to commit the time and effort necessary to become a sales professional. Honestly, only a few are willing take the time necessary to take their sales performance to the next level.
- They know what they want – to be successful they must not only be in a field that they are passionate about but they must also set up goals that they can refer to on a regular basis.
- They are always willing to learn – if you want to be successful you must be open to continuous learning and allowing others to help you with suggestions.
- Great with time management – in the sales field it is easy to get lost with time If you want to be successful you must set up a calendar and stick closely to it.
- They will protect their integrity – most salespeople have been in the industry for a long time. If you have changed jobs before it’s always the best to never “burn bridges” because you never know when you might run into that potential customer again!
- They know their sales process – most sales professional will have a step by step guide that they follow from start to finish. If this process has had proven success you must stick to it!
- They are great at adapting to change – things will change in the industry and even though you have a script that you follow, you must be okay with change.
- They enjoy their success – celebrating your wins and being okay with lost business must be learned. Know how to break away from work to enjoy time with friends and family. It is easy to get lost because sales could be a 24/7 job. You must be able to recharge to be successful.
